My favorite poking fun is that three biggest growth industries in America are bottled water, company retreats, and film school/festivals. Virtually every young person (and beyond) loves movies and is interested in film as an art form. People think that because they read, write, and understand English, they can intelligently judge a movie. Those same people wouldn't dream of judging a painting, and do not know enough about music to judge a composition, yet have no hesitancy whatsoever about judging a movie.
